January 1st is seen by many as a fresh start… a time for setting out to “do it better” than last year, an opportunity to improve. Many people set out to win, using one or more New Year’s Resolutions. Did you know that many fail to stick to their goals within the first two weeks? Here’s a resolution that’s easy to keep!
To improve your health, start by adding one healthy alternative to the foods you consume. Do this for a week and then add another healthy alternative. This slow transition is much easier to handle. Did you know it takes about 21 days of consistently doing a new thing before it becomes a new habit?
You don’t have to start with a master plan that is filled with many new changes. Some people have the will power to do this, but most will mess up a little bit here, a little bit there, and before you know it, it’s all over… back to the old ways. By stacking the deck in your favor, you are most likely to succeed. There is an old adage that states, “the way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time!”
Healthy alternatives can be easily found in organic foods. Switching your daily coffee with an organic version, like The Good Java, is one of the weekly changes you can make. Getting healthier has never been easier, or more delicious, than this!
Have a happy and safe New Year!
