One of the many reasons I enjoy Christmas time is because I can sit by the fire with my hands wrapped around a cozy big mug of Good Java. Even though that in itself is a wonderful moment, it is even more fun to spice things up with a special recipe that complements the season just right!
I’ve tried a few interesting concoctions over the course of time, but this one in particular I have found to be quite indulgent and tasty!
- 2/3 cup organic heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup organic granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup organic unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon organic cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon organic nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons organic vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup water
- 10 cups (one pot) of Good Java coffee
As the pot of coffee starts brewing, begin by preparing some fresh organic whipped cream! Put 3/4 cup of well-chilled organic whipping cream into a bowl, along with two tablespoons organic granulated sugar. Briefly use an electric hand beater on the whip setting until the contents develop peaks. Set to the side for now.
After the pot of coffee finishes brewing, bring the 1/2 cup water to a hard boil in a saucepan. Add the dry ingredients into the pan and stir as the contents come up to a second boil. Reduce to medium heat and continue to stir for approximately 5 minutes. Pour the contents into the pot of Good Java coffee, along with 2 teaspoons of organic vanilla extract. Stir the entire pot very well.
Finally, pour your comfort coffee into a nice mug and add a generous dollop of your fresh organic whipped cream. For a special festive flare, sprinkle a little organic nutmeg on top! Now sit back and indulge in one of my all time favorite coffee pleasures… you’re welcome!
